Acts 11:29, 30
So the disciples, each according to his ability, decided to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. / This they did, sending their gifts to the elders with Barnabas and Saul.
Acts 14:23
Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church, praying and fasting as they entrusted them to the Lord, in whom they had believed.
Acts 15:1–35
Then some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.” / And after engaging these men in sharp debate, Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question. / Sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, recounting the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy to all the brothers.
Acts 16:4, 5
As they went from town to town, they delivered the decisions handed down by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey. / So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.
Acts 20:17, 28–32
From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church. / Keep watch over yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.
