Genesis 4:6 “Why are you angry,” said the LORD to Cain, “and why has your countenance fallen?

Proverbs 16:14, 29, 32 The wrath of a king is a messenger of death, but a wise man will pacify it. / A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is not good. / He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, and he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city.
Proverbs 17:14 To start a quarrel is to release a flood; so abandon the dispute before it breaks out.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger settles in the lap of a fool.

2 Corinthians 12:20 For I am afraid that when I come, I may not find you as I wish, and you may not find me as you wish. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, rage, rivalry, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.
Galatians 5:19–21 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; / idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, / and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. Ephesians 4:26, 31 “Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, / Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, outcry and slander, along with every form of malice.
Colossians 3:8 But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
1 Timothy 2:8 Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or dissension.
