Jesus, the Christ: Foretells his own Death and Resurrection (In Galilee)
Source: Nav
Matthew 17:22, 23
When they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men. / They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised to life.” And the disciples were deeply grieved.
Mark 9:30–32
Going on from there, they passed through Galilee. But Jesus did not want anyone to know, / because He was teaching His disciples. He told them, “The Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after three days He will rise.” / But they did not understand this statement, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.
Luke 9:43–45
And they were all astonished at the greatness of God. While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus was doing, He said to His disciples, / “Let these words sink into your ears: The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men.” / But they did not understand this statement. It was veiled from them so that they could not comprehend it, and they were afraid to ask Him about it.
