Matthew 4:24, 25 News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed—and He healed them. / The large crowds that followed Him came from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.
Matthew 7:28, 29 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were astonished at His teaching, / because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their scribes.
Matthew 8:1 When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.
Matthew 9:8, 27, 33 When the crowds saw this, they were filled with awe and glorified God, who had given such authority to men. / As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” / And when the demon had been driven out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”
Matthew 12:23, 38 The crowds were astounded and asked, “Could this be the Son of David?” / Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.”
Matthew 13:2, 54 Such large crowds gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat down, while all the people stood on the shore. / Coming to His hometown, He taught the people in their synagogue, and they were astonished. “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers?” they asked.
Matthew 14:13, 33, 35 When Jesus heard about John, He withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. But the crowds found out about it and followed Him on foot from the towns. / Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God!” / And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding region. Matthew 15:31 The crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.
Matthew 16:1, 14 Then the Pharisees and Sadducees came and tested Jesus by asking Him to show them a sign from heaven. / They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
Matthew 19:1, 2 When Jesus had finished saying these things, He left Galilee and went into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. / Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
Matthew 21:8–11, 15 A massive crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. / The crowds that went ahead of Him and those that followed were shouting: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!” / When Jesus had entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
Matthew 27:54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified and said, “Truly this was the Son of God.”
Mark 1:22, 27, 33, 37, 45 The people were astonished at His teaching, because He taught as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. / All the people were amazed and began to ask one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!” / and the whole town gathered at the door.
Mark 2:2, 12, 15 they gathered in such large numbers that there was no more room, not even outside the door, as Jesus spoke the word to them. / And immediately the man got up, picked up his mat, and walked out in front of them all. As a result, they were all astounded and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!” / While Jesus was dining at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Him and His disciples—for there were many who followed Him.
Mark 3:7, 20, 21 So Jesus withdrew with His disciples to the sea, accompanied by a large crowd from Galilee, Judea, / Then Jesus went home, and once again a crowd gathered, so that He and His disciples could not even eat. / When His family heard about this, they went out to take custody of Him, saying, “He is out of His mind.”
Mark 4:1 Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.
Mark 5:21, 42 When Jesus had again crossed by boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him beside the sea. / Immediately the girl got up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old, and at once they were utterly astounded.
Mark 6:2, 33, 51, 52, 55, 56 When the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were astonished. “Where did this man get these ideas?” they asked. “What is this wisdom He has been given? And how can He perform such miracles? / But many people saw them leaving and recognized them. They ran together on foot from all the towns and arrived before them. / Then He climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. And the disciples were utterly astounded,
Mark 7:37 The people were utterly astonished and said, “He has done all things well! He makes even the deaf hear and the mute speak!”
Mark 8:11, 28 Then the Pharisees came and began to argue with Jesus, testing Him by demanding from Him a sign from heaven. / They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
Mark 10:1 Then Jesus left that place and went into the region of Judea, beyond the Jordan. Again the crowds came to Him and He taught them, as was His custom.
Mark 11:8–10, 18 Many in the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut from the fields. / The ones who went ahead and those who followed were shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” / “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!” “Hosanna in the highest!”
Mark 12:37 David himself calls Him ‘Lord.’ So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.
Mark 15:39 When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”
Luke 4:14, 15, 22, 32, 36, 37, 42 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region. / He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone. / All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.
Luke 5:1, 17, 19, 26 On one occasion, while Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret with the crowd pressing in on Him to hear the word of God, / One day Jesus was teaching, and the Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. People had come from Jerusalem and from every village of Galilee and Judea, and the power of the Lord was present for Him to heal the sick. / but they could not find a way through the crowd. So they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus.
Luke 6:17–19 Then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon. / They had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases, and those troubled by unclean spirits were healed. / The entire crowd was trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.
Luke 7:16–18 A sense of awe swept over all of them, and they glorified God. “A great prophet has appeared among us!” they said. “God has visited His people!” / And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding region. / Then John’s disciples informed him about all these things.
Luke 8:56 Her parents were astounded, but Jesus ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
Luke 9:11, 19 But the crowds found out and followed Him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and He healed those who needed healing. / They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that a prophet of old has arisen.”
Luke 11:16 And others tested Him by demanding a sign from heaven.
Luke 12:1 In the meantime, a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling one another. Jesus began to speak first to His disciples: “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Luke 13:17 When Jesus said this, all His adversaries were humiliated. And the whole crowd rejoiced at all the glorious things He was doing.
Luke 18:43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, glorifying God. And all the people who saw this gave praise to God.
Luke 19:36–38, 47, 48 As He rode along, the people spread their cloaks on the road. / And as He approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to praise God joyfully in a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen: / “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
Luke 21:38 And early in the morning all the people would come to hear Him at the temple.
Luke 23:27, 47 A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him. / When the centurion saw what had happened, he gave glory to God, saying, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
John 2:11, 23 Jesus performed this, the first of His signs, at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. / While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the signs He was doing and believed in His name.
John 6:2 A large crowd followed Him because they saw the signs He was performing on the sick.
John 7:31, 40–44, 46 Many in the crowd, however, believed in Him and said, “When the Christ comes, will He perform more signs than this man?” / On hearing these words, some of the people said, “This is truly the Prophet.” / Some of them wanted to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him.
John 8:2, 30 Early in the morning He went back into the temple courts. All the people came to Him, and He sat down to teach them. / As Jesus spoke these things, many believed in Him.
John 9:17, 24, 25, 29, 30, 33 So once again they asked the man who had been blind, “What do you say about Him, since it was your eyes He opened?” “He is a prophet,” the man replied. / So a second time they called for the man who had been blind and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.” / He answered, “Whether He is a sinner I do not know. There is one thing I do know: I was blind, but now I see!”
John 10:41, 42 Many came to Him and said, “Although John never performed a sign, everything he said about this man was true.” / And many in that place believed in Jesus.
John 11:37, 45–48 But some of them asked, “Could not this man who opened the eyes of the blind also have kept Lazarus from dying?” / Therefore many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in Him. / If we let Him go on like this, everyone will believe in Him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”
John 12:9, 11, 12, 13, 18–21, 34, 42 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. / for on account of him many of the Jews were deserting them and believing in Jesus. / The next day the great crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.
