When it was decided that we would sail for Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were handed over to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the Imperial Regiment. / The next day we landed at Sidon, and Julius treated Paul with consideration, allowing him to visit his friends and receive their care.

When we arrived in Rome, Paul was permitted to stay by himself, with a soldier to guard him. / Paul stayed there two full years in his own rented house, welcoming all who came to visit him. / Boldly and freely he proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.
