Church: Duty of, to Ministers

Source: Nav

1 Corinthians 16:10, 11 If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, just as I am. / No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.
Philippians 2:29 Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him,
Philippians 4:10–18 Now I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. / I am not saying this out of need, for I have learned to be content regardless of my circumstances. / I know how to live humbly, and I know how to abound. I am accustomed to any and every situation—to being filled and being hungry, to having plenty and having need.
1 Thessalonians 5:12, 13 But we ask you, brothers, to acknowledge those who work diligently among you, who preside over you in the Lord and give you instruction. / In love, hold them in highest regard because of their work. Live in peace with one another.
1 Timothy 5:17 Elders who lead effectively are worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard at preaching and teaching.
Hebrews 13:7, 17 Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. / Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch over your souls as those who must give an account. To this end, allow them to lead with joy and not with grief, for that would be of no advantage to you.
