Exodus 20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exodus 22:5, 6 If a man grazes his livestock in a field or vineyard and allows them to stray so that they graze in someone else’s field, he must make restitution from the best of his own field or vineyard. / If a fire breaks out and spreads to thornbushes so that it consumes stacked or standing grain, or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make full restitution.
Exodus 23:10–12 For six years you are to sow your land and gather its produce, / but in the seventh year you must let it rest and lie fallow, so that the poor among your people may eat from the field and the wild animals may consume what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and olive grove. / For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest and the son of your maidservant may be refreshed, as well as the foreign resident.
Exodus 34:21, 22 Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even in the seasons of plowing and harvesting, you must rest. / And you are to celebrate the Feast of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Feast of Ingathering at the turn of the year.
Leviticus 19:9, 10, 19, 23–25 When you reap the harvest of your land, you are not to reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. / You must not strip your vineyard bare or gather its fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the LORD your God. / You are to keep My statutes. Leviticus 25:2–12, 15, 16, 19–28 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land that I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the LORD. / For six years you may sow your field and prune your vineyard and gather its crops. / But in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land—a Sabbath to the LORD. Deuteronomy 23:24, 25 When you enter your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, but you must not put any in your basket. / When you enter your neighbor’s grainfield, you may pluck the heads of grain with your hand, but you must not put a sickle to your neighbor’s grain.
Deuteronomy 24:19–21 If you are harvesting in your field and forget a sheaf there, do not go back to get it. It is to be left for the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. / When you beat the olives from your trees, you must not go over the branches again. What remains will be for the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow. / When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you must not go over the vines again. What remains will be for the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow.
Proverbs 3:9, 10 Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your harvest; / then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
