Deuteronomy 21:20, 21 and say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he does not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.” / Then all the men of his city will stone him to death. So you must purge the evil from among you, and all Israel will hear and be afraid.
Psalm 69:12 Those who sit at the gate mock me, and I am the song of drunkards.
Proverbs 23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe them in rags.
Isaiah 28:1, 3 Woe to the majestic crown of Ephraim’s drunkards, to the fading flower of his glorious splendor, set on the summit above the fertile valley, the pride of those overcome by wine. / The majestic crown of Ephraim’s drunkards will be trampled underfoot.
