Deuteronomy 21:20 and say to the elders, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he does not obey us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.”
Joel 1:5, 6 Wake up, you drunkards, and weep; wail, all you drinkers of wine, because of the sweet wine, for it has been cut off from your mouth. / For a nation has invaded My land, powerful and without number; its teeth are the teeth of a lion, and its fangs are the fangs of a lioness.
Amos 6:6, 7 You drink wine by the bowlful and anoint yourselves with the finest oils, but you fail to grieve over the ruin of Joseph. / Therefore, you will now go into exile as the first of the captives, and your feasting and lounging will come to an end.
Matthew 24:49–51 And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. / The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. / Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
